Cognos

IBM Cognos is an enterprise tool used by Illinois State University for data reporting purposes. The software is designed to enable users to be able to access information and managed reports.

Admissions

Budget Center

• Used for Fiscal Budgeting
• Information for a rolling 5 years, including the current fiscal year
• Data updates overnight
• Includes data from Datatel, Budget Transfer Center, and PeopleSoft Payroll

Cayuse

• Includes information for current and historical Grant Awards, Projects and Proposals
• Information since Fiscal Year 2010
• Data updates overnight

PRPA/Census Day

• Frequently used for compliance reporting
• Information since Fall 2015
• Snapshot information as of tenth day of the term
• Updated once per term

Student Records

• Includes current and historical student and course information
• Information since Fall 1987
• Data updates overnight
• Cognos Student Records Training is required prior to requesting access to the Reports.

Student Registration

• Includes student contact and registration details
• Current and next enrollment term
• Updated in real time

Teacher Ed

• Includes Teacher Education placement and milestone information for current and historical students
• Information since Fall 2015
• Data updates overnight
